Pardus is arriving in India, and we are bringing it in. If you have not heard the name before, that is fair enough. It is new to this market, though not new.
The brand belongs to the Taishan Sports Industry Group and takes its name from the Latin for leopard. It holds 50 patents, is designated a national high-tech enterprise in China, and has supplied national and intercontinental teams through several Olympic cycles from Rio to Paris. That is a manufacturing pedigree rather than a marketing story, which is the part worth knowing when a brand you have not seen before turns up at a serious price.
Not everything in the global catalogue is coming here. What is landing in India is a focused road and time trial range, four models across thirteen builds, and this article is about working out which one is yours. You can see the full Pardus range here.
How the range is named
Worth two minutes, because the names carry real information once you know the pattern.
| Family | What it is |
|---|---|
| SPARK | Aero road. Built for speed on smooth roads. |
| SUPER | Endurance road. Built for distance and comfort. |
| GOMERA | Time trial and triathlon. |
Then a tier suffix. EVO is the flagship, RS is high performance, SPORT is the accessible carbon tier, and AL is aluminium. India is getting the SPORT and AL tiers, plus the GOMERA ULTRA.
One more thing that shapes every price below. Most of these models come in several builds where the frame is identical and only the wheels or the groupset change. Understanding that is how you avoid overspending, so there is a section on it further down.
Start here: what kind of riding do you do?
| If you | Look at |
|---|---|
| Ride 40 to 80km, want a first proper road bike | SUPER AL |
| Ride long, do brevets or century rides, want comfort over hours | SUPER SPORT GEN2 |
| Ride fast group rides, chase segments, race | SPARK SPORT |
| Race triathlon or time trial | GOMERA ULTRA |
Endurance road: the SUPER family
Endurance geometry means a slightly taller front end and a slightly shorter reach than a race bike. You sit a little more upright, which sounds like a small thing and is not, once you are four hours in. The trade is a fractionally less aggressive position at the very top end of your effort.
This is the right family for most riders in India, particularly given road surfaces.
Under 1,50,000: SUPER AL

Aluminium frame, endurance geometry, Shimano 105, Pardus PW-5 Aero alloy wheels. This is the entry point to the range and the one to look at if you are stepping up from a hybrid or buying your first road bike. Blue, Gunmetal Grey, Milk and Silver, XXS to L.
| Build | Brakes | MRP | Launch price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 105 11-speed | Mechanical disc | ₹89,990 | |
| 105 12-speed | Hydraulic disc | ₹1,29,990 |
Which one? The gap between these two is bigger than the speed count suggests, and the brakes are the reason.
Twelve speed gives you one more sprocket, which in practice means smaller jumps between gears rather than a wider range. On its own that is a nice-to-have.
Hydraulic braking is a different matter. It gives you more stopping power for less hand effort, better control when you are modulating rather than grabbing, and consistent feel in the wet. On long descents, and in monsoon, the difference is real rather than marginal. If your riding involves hills or you ride through the rainy season, the hydraulic build is worth the step up on brakes alone.
If you ride mostly flat routes in dry conditions, the mechanical disc build at ₹89,990 is a genuinely good bike and the stronger value.
1,50,000 to 2,50,000: SUPER SPORT GEN2

The same endurance thinking in carbon. Shimano 105 12-speed throughout, Cloud White, XXS to XL.
| Wheels | MRP | Launch price |
|---|---|---|
| Pardus PW5 DB alloy | ₹1,79,990 | |
| MVMT M-Bronze 50 carbon | ₹2,39,990 |
Identical frame, identical groupset. The ₹60,000 difference is entirely the wheels: alloy against 50mm carbon.
At ₹1,79,990 the alloy-wheeled version is, to our eyes, the most interesting bike in the whole India range. A carbon endurance frame with a full 105 12-speed groupset at that price is genuinely competitive, and wheels are the easiest thing on a bike to upgrade later when you have a reason to.
Aero road: SPARK SPORT

Deep tube profiles, a lower and longer position, and a frame built around going quickly on decent tarmac. If your riding involves fast group rides, chasing segments, or racing, this is the family.
Be honest with yourself about position, though. An aero frame puts you lower at the front, and if you cannot hold that comfortably for the length of your rides, you will be slower on it than on an endurance bike, not faster.
Blue, Green, Mist Black, Mist White and Pink, across XXS to XL. Six builds:
| Groupset | Wheels | MRP | Launch price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 105 12-speed mechanical | Fulcrum Racing 800 alloy | ₹2,19,990 | |
| 105 12-speed mechanical | MVMT M-Bronze 50 carbon | ₹2,69,990 | |
| 105 12-speed mechanical | Vision TC 60 carbon | ₹2,79,990 | |
| 105 Di2 electronic | Fulcrum Racing 800 alloy | ₹2,69,990 | |
| 105 Di2 electronic | MVMT M-Bronze 50 carbon | ₹3,19,990 | |
| 105 Di2 electronic | Vision TC 60 carbon | ₹3,39,990 |
Same frame in all six. What you are choosing between is shifting and wheels, and the next section is about how to make that choice sensibly.
Time trial and triathlon: GOMERA ULTRA

A dedicated TT and triathlon frame with an integrated aero cockpit, Shimano 105 11-speed, in Blue and Yellow.
| Wheels | MRP | Launch price |
|---|---|---|
| Pardus PW3 alloy | ₹2,49,990 | |
| MVMT M-Bronze 50 carbon | ₹2,99,990 | |
| Vision TC 60 carbon | ₹3,19,990 |
Two things to know before you get attached. Sizing is limited to XS, S and L, so check the geometry against your fit numbers before committing. And a TT bike is a single-purpose machine. It is fast in a straight line in a tucked position and awkward almost everywhere else. If you race triathlon it is transformative. If you ride one triathlon a year and everything else is group rides, a road bike with clip-on bars will serve you better.
The bit that decides your budget: wheels
Look again at the SPARK SPORT table. The same bike appears at ₹2,19,990 and at ₹2,79,990. The frame, the groupset and the finishing kit are identical. The entire difference is what the wheels are made of.
Three levels appear across the range:
| Wheel | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Alloy (Racing 800, Pardus PW3 and PW5) | Shallow aluminium rim | Durability, rough roads, keeping cost down |
| MVMT M-Bronze 50 | 50mm carbon | The all-round carbon choice. Fast without being a handful. |
| Vision TC 60 | 60mm carbon | Flat, fast riding and racing where every watt counts |
Deeper rims are faster in a straight line and more affected by crosswind. On an exposed highway on a windy morning, a 60mm front wheel is noticeably more work to hold in a line than a 50mm one. That is a real consideration in a lot of Indian riding, not a theoretical one.
Our honest suggestion: unless you are racing, buy the alloy-wheeled build and put the difference aside. Wheels are the single easiest upgrade on a bike, they carry over to your next frame, and you will make a better choice about them once you know how and where you actually ride. Deep carbon wheels bought on day one often turn out to be the wrong depth for the riding you end up doing.
Mechanical or Di2?
On the SPARK SPORT, electronic shifting costs ₹50,000 over mechanical at every wheel level.
What Di2 gives you is shifting that never needs cable adjustment, stays precise in the wet and through monsoon grit, and shifts identically whether your hands are fresh or wrecked at the end of a long ride. It is genuinely better, not just newer.
What it costs beyond money is a battery to remember to charge, and a system you cannot fix at the roadside with a multitool.
If ₹50,000 is a meaningful part of your budget, mechanical 105 is an excellent groupset, and putting that money into wheels or a bike fit will do more for your riding. If it is not, Di2 is a pleasure you will notice on every single ride.
The whole range by budget
| Budget | Options |
|---|---|
| Under ₹1,00,000 | SUPER AL 11-speed mechanical disc at ₹89,990 |
| ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000 | SUPER AL 12-speed hydraulic disc at ₹1,29,990 |
| ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,00,000 | SUPER SPORT GEN2 with alloy wheels at ₹1,79,990 |
| ₹2,00,000 to ₹2,50,000 | SPARK SPORT 105 mechanical at ₹2,19,990 · SUPER SPORT GEN2 with carbon wheels at ₹2,39,990 · GOMERA ULTRA alloy at ₹2,49,990 |
| ₹2,50,000 to ₹3,00,000 | SPARK SPORT Di2 alloy or mechanical carbon at ₹2,69,990 · SPARK SPORT mechanical TC 60 at ₹2,79,990 · GOMERA ULTRA carbon at ₹2,99,990 |
| Above ₹3,00,000 | SPARK SPORT Di2 with carbon wheels from ₹3,19,990 · GOMERA ULTRA TC 60 at ₹3,19,990 |
All prices above are launch pricing against MRP. Wheels can also be bought separately if you want to upgrade later: the MVMT M-Bronze 50 wheelset is ₹69,990 ₹59,990 at launch.
Availability and prebooking
The first shipment is on its way. Builds and sizes we have already blocked with our supplier are open for prebooking now, so you can reserve the exact size and colour you want rather than hoping it is still there when the container lands.
Everything else shows as sold out until the supplier confirms their next allocation. That is not us being coy about stock, it is simply that we will not take money for something we cannot yet promise a date on. If the build you want is showing unavailable, message us and we will tell you where it sits in the queue.
Before you decide
Get your size right first. It matters more than frame material, groupset and wheel depth combined, and it is the one thing you cannot change afterwards. Our frame sizing guide will get you within one size, and if you are between two, come and try both.
Then be honest about your riding. The most common expensive mistake is buying a race bike for riding that is not racing. An endurance frame you ride happily for five hours beats an aero frame you cut rides short on.

FAQ
Which Pardus models are available in India?
Four models across thirteen builds: the Spark Sport aero road bike, the Super Sport Gen2 carbon endurance road bike, the Super AL aluminium endurance road bike, and the Gomera Ultra time trial and triathlon bike. The wider global catalogue includes gravel and mountain bikes, but those are not part of the India launch.
What is the difference between the Super AL 11 speed and 12 speed?
Brakes as well as gearing. The 11-speed build uses mechanical disc brakes, the 12-speed uses hydraulic. Hydraulic gives more stopping power for less hand effort and better control in the wet, which matters on descents and through monsoon. The extra sprocket is secondary to that.
What bottom bracket do Pardus frames use?
The Spark Sport uses a threaded BSA 68mm shell rather than press-fit. That is good news for long-term ownership, since threaded bottom brackets are serviceable with ordinary tools and avoid the creaking that press-fit frames become known for. Confirm the shell standard for the specific model you are buying.
What thru-axle standard do Pardus road bikes use?
The Spark Sport runs 12x142mm at the rear and 12x100mm at the front, with flat mount disc brakes. That is the current road and gravel standard, so replacement axles, wheels and brake adapters are widely available rather than proprietary.
What is the largest cassette I can fit on a Pardus road bike?
On builds using the Shimano 105 RD-R7100 rear derailleur, the stated maximum sprocket is 36 teeth. That gives useful climbing range with a 50-34 chainset. Going larger needs a different derailleur, not just a different cassette.
Where are Pardus bikes made?
Pardus is owned by the Taishan Sports Industry Group and manufactured in China. Taishan holds national high-tech enterprise designation, and Pardus itself holds 50 patents and has supplied national and intercontinental cycling teams across several Olympic cycles.
Can I upgrade the wheels on a Pardus bike later?
Yes, and it is the sensible upgrade path. The frames use standard 12x142mm rear and 12x100mm front thru-axle spacing, so any modern road wheelset fits. Buying the alloy-wheeled build and upgrading later usually gives a better result than choosing deep carbon on day one.
What do EVO, RS, SPORT and AL mean on Pardus bikes?
They are trim tiers. EVO is the flagship, RS is high performance, SPORT is the accessible carbon tier and AL denotes an aluminium frame. India is receiving the SPORT and AL tiers plus the Gomera Ultra, rather than the full global range.
