Breaststroke, open-water swimming or triathlon?

Start with how you actually swim. The Zone3 Aspect is specifically designed for breaststroke as well as front crawl, with reduced lower-leg buoyancy and greater freedom for the breaststroke kick. The Activate-Flex is the more versatile choice if you also want to use the suit for activities such as kayaking, SUP or surfing. If your priority is front-crawl swimming and triathlon, look instead at the Agile, Propel or Vanquish X ranges.

How much should you spend on a wetsuit?

At ₹23,990, the Aspect and Activate-Flex make sense when versatility or breaststroke compatibility matters more than outright race performance. The 2XU Propel P1 at ₹25,990 and Zone3 Agile at ₹28,990 suit swimmers moving into open-water training or their first triathlons. The Propel P2 at ₹44,990 adds a more performance-focused specification for progressive swimmers. The ₹86,990 Vanquish X is aimed at competitive athletes seeking higher-end flexibility, buoyancy and hydrodynamics. There is little reason to pay for the Vanquish X if you are primarily learning open-water swimming or racing occasionally.

Which wetsuit size do I need?

Wetsuit sizing needs to account for height, weight and chest or bust measurement rather than relying only on your normal clothing size. A correctly fitted suit should feel close to the body without restricting breathing or shoulder movement. Both Zone3 and 2XU use multiple size profiles, including tall and intermediate fits on selected models, so check the specific size chart on the product page before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of wetsuits in India?

Wetsuits in this collection currently range from ₹23,990 to ₹86,990. The starting options include the Zone3 Aspect Breaststroke and Activate-Flex at ₹23,990, while the Zone3 Vanquish X sits at the top of the range at ₹86,990. The difference reflects intended use, materials, flexibility, buoyancy and race-focused construction.

Which wetsuit is best for breaststroke swimming?

The Zone3 Aspect is specifically designed for breaststroke as well as front crawl. Its construction uses greater freedom around the legs and reduced lower-leg buoyancy so the legs can remain submerged for a more natural breaststroke kick, unlike many conventional triathlon wetsuits that are designed primarily around front-crawl body positioning.

What is the difference between Zone3 Agile and Activate-Flex wetsuits?

The Zone3 Agile is designed primarily for newcomers to open-water swimming and triathlon, while the Activate-Flex is built as a more versatile multi-sport wetsuit. Activate-Flex supports both breaststroke and front crawl and can also suit activities such as kayaking, SUP and surfing, whereas Agile focuses more directly on swim positioning, buoyancy and triathlon use.

What is the difference between 2XU Propel P1 and P2 wetsuits?

The Propel P1 is positioned as an all-round wetsuit for aspiring swimmers and people preparing for early triathlon events, while the Propel P2 targets progressive and competitive swimmers. Both use buoyancy and hydrodynamic features, but the P2 sits higher in the range and is intended for riders who place greater emphasis on race performance and efficiency.

How tight should a triathlon wetsuit fit?

A triathlon wetsuit should fit closely without restricting breathing or shoulder movement. 2XU advises that the neck should feel firm without constricting breathing, the sleeves should finish above the wrist bone, and the legs should finish around three-quarters down the shin. Correct positioning also prevents excess material from pulling across the shoulders while swimming.
