How To Use

How to Remove a Snap Ring:

  1. Disassemble Components: Remove derailleur parts and the dust seal from the hub.
  2. Engage the Tool: Insert the remover tip into the notch between the sprocket and the hub.
  3. Hook and Remove: Hook the snap ring and remove it step by step from multiple notches. [Caution: The snap ring may suddenly spring out—handle carefully to avoid injury.]

How to Install a Snap Ring:

  1. Prepare the Snap Ring: Place the snap ring onto the tool’s corn while working on a stable surface. [Caution: Always perform snap ring installation on a stable workbench to avoid tool damage.]
  2. Position the Sprocket: Set the sprocket onto the hub.
  3. Secure the Snap Ring: Screw the corn with the snap ring into the hub axle until it sits flush.
  4. Final Installation: Screw the cup over the corn and turn it clockwise to move the snap ring into position. Continue even if the snap ring initially falls into the gap.
  5. Complete the Installation: Ensure the snap ring sits in the correct groove, then remove the tool. If the corn is difficult to remove, use a pin spanner.
