The Elite Drive 50/65D Carbon Disc Brake Wheelset combines a shallower front rim with a deeper rear rim for riders who want aerodynamic speed without making the front end unnecessarily demanding in crosswinds. Elitewheels explains that the shallower front improves control when wind hits from the side, while the deeper rear reduces aerodynamic drag. This 50/65D configuration is particularly suited to fast road riding, racing and riders who want a more balanced alternative to running the same deep section at both ends.

Mixed-Depth Advantage. The front and rear profiles are selected to perform different jobs. The front prioritises steering stability and predictable handling, while the deeper rear places more emphasis on aerodynamic efficiency. The result is a wheelset intended to remain composed in changing wind conditions while still delivering the speed benefits of a deeper rear wheel. Elitewheels lists the 50/65D combination at 1380±30g before tubeless valves and rim tape.

Modern Road Setup. This version uses a Shimano HG freehub and Center Lock disc interface. The hooked rim design accepts both clincher and tubeless tyres, giving riders flexibility when choosing their preferred road setup. The wheelset is supplied ready for tubeless preparation with rim tape and valves already installed, while replaceable spare spokes are provided for future servicing.
