The Controltech Cougar Integrated -8° Drop Stem is a road and gravel stem designed for riders building a cleaner, more aerodynamic cockpit with internal cable routing. Its square tubular body is shaped to reduce drag while also adding structural strength, and the low-profile stem caps continue the streamlined design. The main distinction from a conventional exposed-cable stem is the way the body, cable cover and split spacers work together to create a more integrated front end.
Built around Integration. Internal cable routing keeps compatible brake hoses and control lines tidier around the front of the bike, while the supplied cable cover and split spacers help complete the installation. The square tubular construction also gives the stem a distinctive profile compared with traditional round or box-section designs. For riders already using an integrated cockpit arrangement, this can provide a neater transition between the frame, headset area and handlebar without moving to a one-piece bar-and-stem system.
Check Cockpit Compatibility. The Cougar Integrated stem must match the handlebar clamp and steerer standards of the bike, and the frame or headset arrangement must support the intended cable-routing path. Because the stem is designed around internal routing, confirm how the hoses or cables enter the frame before replacing an existing conventional stem. The included split spacers simplify installation around routed lines, but they do not make every frame automatically compatible.

Returns can be started within 7 days of delivery on unused items in their original condition with all tags and packaging. Apparel, helmets, gloves and similar items are returnable; wetsuits and products discounted by more than 5% are not.
