Triathlon bikes: B, IA and IAx

Felt is best known for its triathlon bikes, and they share one purpose: holding you in a low, efficient aero position for the whole bike leg so you still have legs for the run.

B is the most affordable of the triathlon models here. It is a sensible first triathlon bike for sprint and Olympic distance racing, and a clear step up from clip-on aerobars on a road bike.

IA and IAx are the more advanced triathlon frames, for riders moving up to half and full distance, where aerodynamics and comfort over hours matter most. IA FRD sits at the top of the range, built with top-tier electronic groupsets.

Road bikes: AR or VR

AR is Felt's aero road bike, for fast group rides, racing and riders who want speed on flat roads. VR is the endurance road bike, with a taller, more relaxed position for long rides, brevets and rough surfaces. As with any road bike, choose on geometry before anything else: the position you can hold for four hours matters more than the frame shape.

Verza Speed: the hybrid

The Verza Speed is a flat bar hybrid for fitness riding and commuting, with an upright position that is easier on the back and neck than drop bars. It suits riders who want a quality bike for city roads without moving to road riding.

Groupsets and budget

Within each model, price is driven mostly by the groupset and frame level. Shimano 105 is a proven mechanical groupset and the sensible entry point. Ultegra is lighter and more refined. Ultegra Di2 and SRAM RED eTap AXS add electronic shifting, which on a triathlon bike lets you change gear both on the aerobar extensions and at the brake levers. One IA model here is the rim brake version, so check the brake type on each listing.

Sizing

Road bike sizing maps roughly to height, but stack and reach say more than the size label. Triathlon sizing is stricter: the frame has to put your saddle and aerobar pads where your fit needs them, and a frame that is too long or too low cannot be adjusted into a comfortable position. Book a professional bike fit before choosing a triathlon frame size, and check Felt's geometry chart for the specific model.
