Carbon XC Speed With Trail Control
Overview
Overview
The Cannondale Scalpel 4 Mountain Bicycle is built for riders who want cross-country speed with the confidence to attack technical trails. Based on the World Cup winning Scalpel platform, it is made for XC racing, marathon events and high-speed trail riding.
Lightweight Carbon Race Platform: The Scalpel 4 uses Cannondale’s advanced lightweight carbon construction frameset for a fast and responsive ride feel. Its purposeful design focuses on kinematics, weight, stiffness and capability, giving riders a bike that looks fast because every shape has a function.
120mm Better Travel: With FlexPivot kinematics and Proportional Response suspension, the Scalpel’s 120mm of travel is designed for traction, control and fun without losing race efficiency. Remote-actuated RockShox SID suspension front and rear lets riders manage rough terrain while staying focused on speed.
Fast Geometry for Control: A slack 66.6º head tube angle, steeper 75.5º seat tube angle and size-specific chainstays help keep the rider balanced between the wheels. This gives more power and traction on climbs, sharper cornering control and greater confidence when riding fast.
Race-Ready Components: The Shimano Deore/XT 12-speed drivetrain provides a wide and dependable gear range for climbs, descents and race efforts. Stan’s NoTubes Crest S2 rims add reliable speed and control, making the bike ready for XC podiums and technical trail days.
The Cannondale Scalpel 4 Mountain Bicycle is made for riders who want the thrill of speed, XC racing performance and rowdy trail capability in one lightweight carbon mountain bike.
