Cannondale road bikes: Synapse vs SuperSix Evo

This is the choice most buyers face, and the two bikes suit genuinely different riders.

Synapse is the endurance frame — a taller front end and more relaxed geometry that keeps you comfortable over long distances. It is the right bike for brevets, weekend century rides and anyone who does not want to be stretched out for four hours. The range runs from the Synapse 2 at ₹1,78,999 through the Synapse Carbon 5 at ₹2,68,140 and Carbon 4 at ₹3,25,320, up to the Synapse Carbon 2 at ₹5,45,000.

SuperSix Evo is the race frame — lower, stiffer, and quicker to change direction. Choose it for crits, fast group rides and racing. The SuperSix Evo 4 starts at ₹3,03,750, with the Evo 3 at ₹3,99,999 and Evo 2 at ₹4,80,000.

If you are on a tighter budget, CAAD Optimo 4 at ₹85,599 is the alloy road bike that gets riders into the sport, and the CAAD14 frameset at ₹1,59,999 remains one of the best alloy race frames made.

Gravel and mountain

Topstone is the gravel platform, with the Topstone 2 GRX at ₹1,70,100. SuperX 3 at ₹3,40,000 is the faster, more race-oriented gravel and cyclocross option. On dirt, the Scalpel range covers cross-country from the Scalpel HT Carbon 3 at ₹2,24,070 to the full-suspension Scalpel 4 at ₹3,79,999 and the Lefty-equipped Scalpel 2 at ₹6,84,000.

Hybrids for city riding

Quick 5 at ₹48,999, Quick CX 3 at ₹57,999 and Quick 3 at ₹69,450 are the flat-bar bikes for commuting and fitness riding — the most common first bike we sell to riders in Hyderabad.

Sizing and fitting

Synapse and SuperSix Evo take different sizes on the same rider because of the geometry difference, so do not assume your size carries across. Check the Cannondale size chart, or come to the Kondapur store to be measured. We keep a Cannondale SuperSix as a demo bike for test rides, and offer professional bike fitting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy a Cannondale Synapse or a SuperSix Evo?

Choose the Synapse for endurance riding, brevets and long weekend rides — it has a taller front end and more relaxed geometry. Choose the SuperSix Evo for racing, crits and fast group rides, where its lower, stiffer race geometry suits.

How much do Cannondale bikes cost in India?

Cannondale bikes at The Bike Affair range from ₹48,999 for the Quick 5 hybrid to ₹6,84,000 for the Scalpel 2 Lefty mountain bike. Road bikes start at ₹85,599 with the CAAD Optimo 4, and framesets start at ₹1,45,999.

Can I test ride a Cannondale before buying?

Yes. We keep a Cannondale SuperSix as a demo bike at our Kondapur store in Hyderabad for a short test ride. Demo bikes are in a limited range of sizes, so let us know in advance which size you ride and we will have it ready.

Do you assemble the bike before delivery?

Yes. Every Cannondale is assembled and safety-checked in our own Hyderabad workshop before dispatch. Servicing, warranty support and bike fitting are all handled in Hyderabad too.

What size Cannondale do I need?

Sizing differs between the Synapse and SuperSix Evo because of their geometry, so your size on one may not carry to the other. Check the Cannondale size chart, or book a professional bike fit at our Kondapur store.
