The Unior 1697-US Bottom Bracket Tapping Tool BSA is designed for chasing and cleaning existing BSA bottom bracket threads, helping cups install smoothly without binding.

Correct Thread Direction Setup: BSA shells use two different thread directions, with a right-hand thread on the non-drive side and a left-hand thread on the drive side. This tool includes the correct paired taps for proper service.

Keeps Both Sides Aligned: The paired tap design allows both sides to be worked at the same time, helping keep the taps parallel through the shell. This supports cleaner, more accurate thread chasing.

Useful After Paint Or Frame Work: It is ideal after repainting, frame swaps, or when threads have paint, dirt, anodize build-up, or minor damage. The tool is meant to refresh existing threads, not create new threads in an unthreaded shell.
