How to Care for Your Cycling Apparel in 10 Easy Steps
- Read the washing instruction labels.
- Wash your cycling gear separately. Washing regular clothes, like a heavy pair of jeans or a jacket, along with your cycling gear may ruin your light, delicate cycling kit.
- Rinse off all soil before washing.
- Do not soak for a long time. And the water temperature should be controlled within 30 degrees Celsius.
- Don't use softeners, bleach or washing powders.
- Wash inside out. Close all zipper and Velcros.
- Hand wash instead of machine wash. If using machine wash, place the kits in a laundry bag and use delicate cycle.
- Don't tumble dry. Hang and air-dry instead.
- Once dry, hang them up. Don't fold.
- Don't iron.

The Skull Monton Number 3 Gloves are fingerless cycling gloves designed for long, steady rides in warm conditions. Their anatomically shaped palm is intended to improve blood flow and reduce pressure on the ulnar nerve, while firm Poron XRD padding helps reduce road buzz over irregular surfaces. Monton also recommends the gloves for riders spending time off-road or on gravel tracks, where additional palm cushioning can help manage repeated vibration through the handlebars.
Cooler Palm Construction. The centre of the palm is laser-perforated to increase breathability during warmer rides. Poron XRD foam provides wearable impact protection and is stated to absorb up to 90% of impact, reacting under load before returning to its resting state. The gloves are specified for temperatures between 22-40°C, while a sweat wipe over the thumb provides a practical way to manage perspiration during harder efforts.
Functional Upper Fabric. The back of the hand uses stretchy Silver Ion Recycled DeanDot fabric for a close fit. Its construction combines recycled polyester and nylon yarns with silver ions for antibacterial protection, German moisture-management treatment for a cooling effect and elastic compression characteristics. Reflective graphics add a visibility detail in lower-light conditions, while pull loops on the middle and ring fingers make the gloves easier to remove after riding.
