The Panaracer R'Air is a lightweight racing inner tube for road cyclists who want a more supple ride than a conventional butyl tube without moving to latex. Panaracer developed it to combine the responsive, compliant feel associated with latex tubes with the durability and straightforward maintenance of butyl. It suits performance road riding, fast training and riders looking to reduce road harshness while retaining a familiar tube-type setup.
More Flexible Casing. Panaracer's Air Flex Lite Butyl compound provides around 2.1 times the elasticity of standard butyl. That increased flexibility allows the tube to deform more readily as the tyre moves over imperfections, helping improve vibration absorption and road-surface conformity. Panaracer balances this greater suppleness with the durability expected from a racing butyl tube, making R'Air a practical alternative for riders who want performance benefits without the maintenance characteristics of latex.
Easy to Maintain. R'Air can be repaired with a conventional butyl patch kit, simplifying roadside and workshop repairs. Before installation, confirm that the tyre and rim match the stated compatibility and that the rim uses a Presta valve opening. R'Air remains a conventional inner-tube system, so it does not require tubeless-ready rims, sealant or tubeless valves.
