The Panaracer R’Air is a lightweight racing inner tube for road riders who want a more supple ride than a conventional butyl tube without moving to latex. Panaracer designed R’Air to combine latex-like ride quality with the everyday practicality of butyl, making it suitable for performance road riding, fast training and riders who want to reduce harshness without adopting a more maintenance-sensitive tube material.

More Flexible Casing. Panaracer’s Air Flex Lite Butyl compound has about 2.1 times the elasticity of a standard butyl tube. That greater flexibility helps the tube conform more readily as the tyre deforms over the road, improving vibration absorption and road-surface tracking. The result is a more compliant feel while retaining the familiar durability and handling characteristics of a butyl inner tube.

Easy to Repair. R’Air can be patched with a conventional butyl tube repair kit, which makes roadside or workshop repairs straightforward. Before installation, confirm that the tyre and rim fall within the compatible wheel and width range and that the rim is drilled for a Presta valve. Riders choosing between R’Air and a standard tube should favour R’Air when lower weight and increased suppleness matter more than minimum purchase cost. It remains a conventional tube-type system, so no tubeless conversion is required.
