The Cervelo ST29 Stem with Top Cap is an original-style replacement cockpit component for compatible Cervélo S3 and S-Series road bicycles. Designed around Cervélo's dedicated steering assembly, it is intended for riders replacing an existing stem or adjusting their position while retaining the bicycle's original cockpit arrangement. Unlike a conventional aftermarket stem, this model forms part of a specific headset and spacer system. It is particularly relevant for owners maintaining their original equipment rather than converting the bicycle to a different cockpit design.
Cockpit Integration. The stem provides the connection between the handlebar and the bicycle's steering assembly while maintaining the intended appearance of the original cockpit. Its aluminium construction offers a rigid mounting structure, and the accompanying top cap completes the dedicated assembly. This makes it useful when replacing damaged components or changing cockpit fit without departing from Cervélo's original design. Proper installation helps maintain consistent steering control and secure handlebar positioning during everyday riding and more demanding efforts.
Installation Compatibility. This is a model-specific component rather than a universal replacement stem. Cervélo specifies that it must be used with the appropriate headset and spacer arrangement, so compatibility should be established before purchasing. The existing fork, headset components and handlebar must also be suitable for the installation. Riders changing cockpit position should check the available adjustment options and follow Cervélo's assembly instructions. Professional installation is recommended because incorrect mounting or modification of steering components can compromise bicycle handling and safety.
