How to measure

Grab a tape measure, write down the measurements and compare with our size chart for the right size. For best results, take measurements over your underwear. If your measurements fall between sizes, we suggest that you size up for a better fit.

1. HIPS
Holding the tape horizontally measure around the largest part of your hips keeping the feet close together.

2. Inseam
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the ankle bone

Castelli Velocissima 3 Women Knickers are women’s cycling bottoms designed for conditions where shorts provide too little coverage but full-length tights would feel unnecessarily warm. They work particularly well for late-spring rides, cooler mornings and transitional weather, while their lightweight construction also makes them practical into milder summer conditions. Castelli positions them as a versatile option for both outdoor cycling and indoor training, giving riders additional leg coverage without the heavier insulation associated with cold-weather tights.

Comfort without Bulk. The cut is designed to provide a supportive cycling fit while remaining approachable for regular training and endurance riding. The waist construction lies smoothly against the body, avoiding the pronounced elastic band found on some cycling bottoms. This helps reduce pressure around the waist when riding in a forward position and contributes to a cleaner, flatter feel during longer sessions.

Versatile by Design. The Velocissima 3 sits between traditional cycling shorts and thermal tights, making it useful when weather or ride intensity can change through the day. Its combination of additional coverage, moderate compression and women-specific saddle support makes it particularly suitable for riders who prioritise comfort over an aggressively compressive race fit.

Care

Washing instructions are printed on a white tag inside each piece of clothing. Following these instructions will help make sure that your gear will last as long as possible. Careful washing and maintenance will ensure the highest performance from your Castelli products and extend their useful life span.

Always read the care label before washing a piece of clothing.
Close all zips and Velcro fasteners and turn the garment inside out.
Hand or machine wash on a lukewarm permanent press cycle (max. 30°C / 86°F)
Use a small amount of liquid or powder detergent, not other products that contain fabric softeners, conditioners, stain removers or bleach as they will affect garment performance.
