Saddle Covers

(1 products)

Saddle covers add a layer of cushioning to your existing saddle and protect it from sweat, rain and wear. Most use a gel or foam layer with an elastic edge that wraps under the saddle, and come in sizes to match different saddle widths. Each product page lists exact dimensions, so you can check fit before ordering.

Do you need a saddle cover or a different saddle?

A gel saddle cover is the simpler choice if your existing saddle shape already works for you but you want extra cushioning for casual riding, commuting or indoor training. It wraps around the saddle and adds a softer contact layer. It should not be treated as a substitute for correcting a poorly fitting saddle. If discomfort comes from the wrong saddle width, shape or riding position, changing the saddle or reviewing your bike fit is the better solution.

Is extra cushioning worth adding?

Extra padding can make sense for riders who want a softer feel without replacing their current saddle, and water-resistant, washable covers also help protect the saddle from sweat and moisture. More cushioning is not automatically better, however. Performance road riders who already use a well-fitted cycling saddle and padded bib shorts may prefer the direct support of the saddle without an additional gel layer.

Which saddle cover size do I need?

Saddle covers are made in different widths, so choose according to the dimensions of your existing saddle rather than your bike type alone. Measure the widest part and the overall length of your saddle, then compare them with the dimensions listed for each size on the product page. A cover that is too small will not stay put, and one that is too large will bunch and chafe.
