Oakley Encoder Sanctuary Collection Sunglasses

The Oakley Encoder Sanctuary Collection Sunglasses are designed for cyclists and multi-sport athletes who want extensive eye coverage without a conventional full-frame design. The Sanctuary Collection gives the Encoder a distinctive finish while retaining its sport-focused construction. Its extended wraparound lens provides a broad field of view, making it suitable for riders who prefer an unobstructed view of the road and their surroundings.

Optical Performance: The lens is designed with calibrated rigidity in key areas, allowing it to maintain structural support without a complete surrounding frame. Its wraparound profile provides coverage around the eyes, while the lens technology helps distinguish surface details and changes in contrast. This is particularly useful when riding on roads with changing textures and patches of sunlight and shade. The design is intended for outdoor sporting conditions rather than functioning as an interchangeable-lens system.

Fit and Compatibility: The low-profile temples are designed to sit comfortably beneath cycling helmets and caps, reducing interference around the sides of the head. The frame provides a wider fit and is intended for riders with a higher nose bridge and lower cheekbones. Riders with narrower faces should check the fit carefully, as the wider construction may not provide the same secure contact. The lens configuration is intended primarily for bright outdoor conditions, making these sunglasses less suitable for night riding or poorly illuminated environments.
