Radkaat Silicone Pro Bar Tape

The Radkaat Silicone Pro Bar Tape is designed for road and gravel cyclists who want dependable handlebar grip without sacrificing comfort on longer rides. Its construction combines a textured silicone contact surface with an underlying cushioning structure, making it particularly suitable for riders who frequently alternate between smooth tarmac and rougher surfaces. Compared with conventional EVA-based handlebar tapes, Radkaat places greater emphasis on surface traction, resistance to moisture and protection against everyday wear. It is a practical choice for cyclists who prefer a slightly tacky feel rather than a slippery or excessively soft handlebar covering.

Comfort on Rough Roads. Repeated vibrations travelling through the handlebars can contribute to hand discomfort, particularly during extended rides. The tape's cushioning construction helps distribute pressure and absorb some of these vibrations before they reach the rider's palms. This is useful on imperfect road surfaces, where maintaining a relaxed grip can become difficult. The outer surface is designed to provide predictable traction without feeling excessively sticky, allowing riders to maintain control when changing hand positions or riding without gloves.

Everyday Riding Conditions. The silicone surface is particularly relevant for cyclists riding in hot and humid conditions, where perspiration can make conventional handlebar coverings difficult to grip. Its moisture-resistant construction also helps maintain traction during light rain and damp rides. The material is intended to withstand regular handling, abrasion and temperature changes without deteriorating prematurely. It is suitable for drop handlebars on road and gravel bicycles, although riders should confirm adequate wrapping coverage for their particular handlebar shape. Proper installation remains important for maintaining consistent grip and preventing unwanted movement of the tape.
