Northwave Active Headcover - Black is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Northwave Active Headcover is an under-helmet cycling cap designed for colder rides where wind, low temperatures and intermittent moisture can make an exposed head uncomfortable. Its close-fitting construction sits beneath a cycling helmet without the bulk of a conventional winter hat, making it suitable for road, gravel and mountain biking when additional head protection is needed. The design concentrates weather protection around the areas most exposed to cold airflow while maintaining the stretch and breathability required during sustained riding.
Blocks Cold Airflow. A strategically positioned membrane protects the forehead and side areas that receive the most direct wind while cycling. The rear and upper sections retain warmth without turning the headcover into a heavy insulated layer, allowing it to work more naturally with a ventilated cycling helmet. Slight ear coverage extends protection to another area that can become uncomfortable quickly in cold conditions.
Comfort Under a Helmet. Flat seams reduce unnecessary bulk and help minimise pressure points where the helmet sits against the head. An elasticated edge helps keep the headcover positioned while riding, while the breathable construction allows moisture generated during harder efforts to escape. It is intended as a practical winter cycling layer rather than a standalone casual beanie.

How to wash cycling clothes?
If you have a washing bag designed specifically for delicates, use this. Place your gear in the bag and then place the bag in the washing machine. If there is a sports mode, select it if the temperature is no more than 30 degrees. If not, find a gentle cycle that is no warmer than 30 degrees. Do not use standard laundry detergent, and definitely do not use fabric softener. Allow the clothing to air dry - do not tumble dry.
