Rudy Project Skudo Gravel Helmet

The Rudy Project Skudo is designed for cyclists who regularly move between gravel tracks, paved roads and urban routes rather than riding within a single discipline. Its focus is practical versatility, combining ventilation, visibility and an adaptable fit system in a helmet that works for mixed-surface training, commuting and longer recreational rides. Compared with a more specialised aerodynamic road helmet, the Skudo prioritises broader usability and comfort across changing terrain.

Built for Versatility. On gravel rides, secure helmet positioning becomes especially important when the surface turns rough or uneven. The Skudo's adjustable retention and strap arrangement are intended to help keep the helmet comfortably centred while still allowing the rider to fine-tune the fit. Its airflow-focused construction is also useful during slower climbs and sustained efforts, particularly in warm riding conditions where heat management matters more than aerodynamic optimisation.

Practical Everyday Choice. The Skudo suits riders who want one helmet for weekend gravel rides, regular road mileage and city use. Reflective detailing adds a useful visibility element for early-morning or evening riding, while the internal comfort system is designed around adjustability and replaceable contact points. Riders looking specifically for a dedicated aero race helmet or a helmet built around a stated rotational-impact system should compare those requirements separately, as the Skudo is positioned primarily around versatile use, comfort and practical mixed-terrain riding.
