How To Use

How To Mount:

  1. Remove your crank from the bike.
  2. Unscrew the 4 bolts holding the chainrings together using a T-30 Torx key.
  3. Remove both original rings.
  4. For 46/30T: Place the big chainring on the crank. Locate the triangular mark on the small chainring and ensure it sits behind the crank. Use the provided bolts (2x M5 Torx T-25 and 2x M7 Torx T-30) to lock both chainrings in place. Torque M5 bolts to 4-5Nm and M7 bolts to 5-7Nm.
  5. For 48/32T: Follow the same procedure, using the provided M7 bolts (Torx T-30) and torquing them to 5-7Nm.

Important:

  • Sub Compact chainrings only work in predefined size combinations. Add 30T and 46T, or 32T and 48T chainrings to your basket or set. Mounting bolts are included with the small ring.
  • 30T can only work with 46T and special bolt set 46/30. (bolts included with small ring)
  • 32T can only work with 48T and special bolt set 48/32. (bolts included with small ring)
  • No other combination or mix of rings will work. Aesthetic bolt covers are not offered for this design.
  • Always use a new chain when fitting new chainrings.
  • SRAM Yaw Front Derailleur Compatibility: Not compatible with SRAM Yaw front derailleurs. Replace with a Shimano equivalent for compatibility.

Speed at Cadence Calculation:

  • 46x11T combination reaches 47.5km/h (29.5mph) at 90rpm, increasing to 53km/h (32.9mph) at 100rpm.
  • 48x11T combination reaches 49.7km/h (30.9mph) at 90rpm, increasing to 55km/h (34.3mph) at 100rpm.
